Company Overview

In 1980, Cats Eye began their journey in the form of a small shop in Green Super Market that sold all most everything from candies to ornaments. The founders, Mr. Sayeed Siddiqui Rumi and Mrs. Ashrafun Siddiqui Dora, had kept a small part of that shop for shirts that they designed by themselves. They got a good response from the enthusiastic young men of Dhaka. Therefore, Mrs. Ashrafun Siddiqui decided that they would only sell designer clothes for men. In 1983, the couple rented a floor space in Mansur Bhaban, Elephant Road. That was the official inception of Cats Eye.

Until 1993, there was a vacuum in the men’s fashion market for a clothing line for the executives. Thus, Cats Eye introduced a new line of products under the new brand name Monsoon Rain as a sister concern of Cats Eye. In 1998, Cats Eye launched another brand of Men's Wear under the name Cats Eye Unlimited, to satisfy the stylish men’s casual wear segment. Recently Cats Eye introduced Ladies wear, shoes and silver jewelery

Punjabi Salwar Kameez

Punjabi Suit is a basic dress for North Indian women. Punjabi Suit is famous all around the world. Punjabi Suit is normally worn with chunni or dupatta. Kameez is the upper part of the combination of Salwar, Kameez and Dupatta. Latest Punjabi suits from India come in a variety of colors and designs. These suits are usually very colorful i.e have darker tones and very heavy embroideries. Traditional punjabi suits are very beautifully designed with traditional embroideries like phulkari etc. Though ‘Punjabi suit’, commonly referred to, as’ Salwar kameez’ is the traditional attire of the women of Punjab, it is equally popular among the women of South Central Asia. It has gained the status of being a very comfortable outfit and has risen in the popularity chart of garments suitable for many occasions, amongst women of all age groups and sizes. Punjabi suit are preferred by many traditional and conservative women of India, considering their simplicity that comes along with a number of styles, which differ according to the neck, sleeves, bottom cuts and circumference, etc. Like any other form of salwar kameez the Punjabi suit has a top, known as kameez, a bottom portion, referred to as the salwar and the chunni. All these together make up an entire Punjabi suit, immaterial of the style that it has been designed to by the fashion designers. A Punjabi suit forms an integral part of not only the day- to-day wear, but is also apt for parties, weddings, festivals and various other occasions. It is a user-friendly garment suitable for all seasons and all occasions. It is an indispensable garment, a must have for all women wardrobes. Today the designers with there creativity combined with talent have reinvented the Punjabi suits in its different avatars. Embroideries of different types especially Phulkari is artistically done using vibrant colors to create various patterns. This form of embroidery is immensely popular among the women of Punjab. Phulkari literally meaning flower embroidery is generally done over dupattas and shawls. The style of embroidery in which the designs are closely worked upon to cover the entire fabric is called Bagh.
